Oxytocin vs PT-141 vs Kisspeptin: how they differ and what they cost
Updated from live data. Research use only. Prices, not recommendations.
These three get lumped together as “love” or libido peptides, but they act on different systems. Only one, PT-141, has passed the trials needed for a prescription drug. Per mg, PT-141 is cheapest today at $1.00.

Oxytocin: a bonding hormone with mixed trial results
Oxytocin is a nine-amino-acid hormone from the hypothalamus. It drives labor and milk let-down and is released during touch and sex. Lab studies tie it to trust and bonding, but large trials have mostly come back flat; our evidence check goes claim by claim.
PT-141: the only one approved as a drug
PT-141 (bremelanotide) activates melanocortin receptors in the brain rather than acting on hormones. The FDA approved it in 2019 as Vyleesi, for low sexual desire in premenopausal women. Nausea was the most common side effect in those trials.
Kisspeptin: the switch at the top of the reproductive axis
Kisspeptin-10 is the active fragment of kisspeptin, which tells the brain to release GnRH and, downstream, LH and testosterone or estrogen. Small studies at Imperial College London found it changed how the brain responds to sexual and romantic images. It is still experimental.
Per mg is not per use
These peptides are studied at very different amounts, so the cheapest per mg is not the cheapest to run a study with. Compare like with like on each peptide's own page, where vial sizes are listed.
How we measured this
Prices are each vendor's cheapest live listing: list price plus any shipping estimate, minus the sale and the sitewide code we show on the compare page, divided by total mg. Median is across vendors, one listing each. The research summaries link to the published studies; we report what they found and give no use or dosing guidance.
No vendor pays for placement and none of these numbers is a ranking for sale. Buy links on the pages linked here may earn us a commission. More on how the site works on the about page.
